Built on the Powerhub

The Powerhub, integrated for your vessel.

The Maritime Battery is a DENS Powerhub system adapted for use on board. Our maritime battery packs can be ES-TRIN certified, the European standard for inland shipping. Choose the capacity you need, from 145 to 3,360 kWh, and we integrate it with your vessel or port equipment. Charge it from shore power and keep working, emission-free.

Vessel and port environment

Applications

Electric power on and near the water.

Shore power for moored vessels

Shore power

Moored vessels run on clean power from the quay instead of onboard generators. This works even where the grid is weak or missing.

  • 50 Hz and 60 Hz, as a fixed installation or in swappable containers
  • Works with the grid, a generator, or fully standalone
  • Less emissions, noise and vibration in port

Used by: ZES, LCG
Product: Powerhub

Electric propulsion with DENS battery packs

Electric propulsion

Sail on DENS battery packs that can be ES-TRIN certified, built in as a drop-in powertrain or as swappable containers.

  • Fixed: installed like an engine block, for new builds and refits
  • Swappable: exchanged or recharged at the quay, with MCS charging
  • DENS builds the swappable battery units for ZES

Used by: ZES, Van Oord
Product: Maritime Battery

default

Terminals and ports

Power cranes and heavy terminal equipment without emissions, and absorb the peaks the grid can’t handle.

  • Peak power for cranes, without grid reinforcement
  • MCS charging for terminal tractors and reach stackers
  • One system powers cranes, equipment and quay operations

Used by: LCG
Product: Powerhub

Powerhub on the deck of a Van Oord work vessel

On-deck energy for work vessels

A Powerhub on deck replaces diesel generators with quiet, emission-free power. It’s ideal near cities and homes.

  • For dredging, quay construction and sheet piling
  • Powers the vessel and on-deck machines like cranes
  • Quick to install and relocate

Used by: Van Oord, Martens en Van Oord, De Vries Werkendam
Product: Powerhub
