DENS expands with a second location on the Automotive Campus

In 2026 DENS takes the next step in its growth: a second location on the Automotive Campus in Helmond, three times the size of its current premises.

More room to build

The new location is the former VeHil hall of TNO, where self-driving cars were once tested. It adds 9,000 square metres to the current 3,000 square metre building. The space will be used to build battery systems for electric construction machines and for companies that need extra power capacity.

Why now

The number of battery containers DENS delivers has doubled year after year. Demand comes from construction and infrastructure, from businesses facing grid congestion, and increasingly from other countries in Europe. The extra space lets DENS keep up with that growth and scale up production.

What comes next

DENS now has almost 150 employees, around 90 of them in research and development. Alongside the expansion, the team is working on a new generation of battery systems, including five new models for electric excavators up to 40 to 45 tons.
